Important Decision

The most important decision I ever made in life was to allow God to become a part of it; I’ve never regretted that decision. We are all given this choice in life, to either walk with God, or walk away from Him. I’m praying for you, and the choice is strictly up to you. But no matter what you decide, God will never stop loving you; that’s just who He is.

Let me know if you have questions about this. I will do my best to help you find the answers to making a good choice that’s best for you.

Be blessed.

Why should I become a Christian?

Jesus Christ declared that He “did not come to be served, but to serve, and give His life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45).

The question then arises: Why do we need to be ransomed?

The definition of the word ransom is a payment that’s made in exchange for the release of a person. The term ransom is most frequently used when discussing a kidnapping event.

Jesus paid a ransom to free us from bondage. What bondage? Sin (and its consequences), along with physical death that results in eternal separation from God, is the bondage we remain trapped in without Jesus’ payment.

The Bible describes sin. Simply put, sin is our failure to measure up to God’s holy ways and His righteous standards.

We sin by things we do, choices we make, attitudes we express, and thoughts we entertain. We are ALL sinners, but God knows that, and He loves us anyway.

Why did Jesus choose to pay this ransom? According to Romans 3:23, we are all infected with sin, and Romans 6:23 tells us we are worthy of judgment from God.

Because He loves us so much! Jesus paid willingly for our sins to restore us to His Holy Family.

How did Jesus pay our ransom?

By dying on a Cross to pay the penalty for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3, 2 Corinthians 5:21). No one else could have paid the ultimate sacrifice and debt for all sins committed in every life, so Jesus took care of it all at once.

He forgave us on that Cross.

How could Jesus’ death sufficiently pay for everyone’s sin, including mine? Jesus was God in human form. God came to earth to become one of us and redeem our natures. (John 1:14). You’ve heard that old saying, “You can’t truly understand someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes? Jesus came to walk a mile in our shoes.

So, How Do I Become a Christian?

God loves you, and He wants to have a personal relationship with you from this moment on. He’s ready for you to join the Christian family right now. All you have to do is believe.

What do I need to believe?

God says if you believe that His Son, Jesus, took your sins away when He died on The Cross, then YOU can be a Christian.

For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Are You Ready? Then Repeat This Prayer Out Loud.

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I do not deserve eternal life. But I believe You died and rose from the grave to make me a new creation and to prepare me to dwell in Your Presence forever. Jesus–come into my life. Take control of my life, forgive my sins, and save me. I am now placing my trust in You alone. I know I am forgiven and have received the eternal life you offer.

Thank you, Lord!
In Jesus’ Name I pray.
Amen
