I know firsthand what it is to be held in captivity, forced to do things that no child or young woman should experience in life.
Starting at the young age of three, after my mother was murdered, I was forced into doing things that a child should not be involved in (actually, no one at any age should be forced into doing anything, especially abusive things). I needed a hero, someone to come in and rescue me, but no one came.
I’m so grateful that God Himself rescued me. June of 2011, I was finally set free from it all and I never have to be held in captivity again. God has set me free and now I am free to learn and experience all that He has for me. To learn of my true identity and live the life and plans, God has for my life. Free to choose His ways. To live the best life ever!
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 states, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
Honestly, a big part of me wants to be angry about my life. I didn’t deserve any of that, and even though I don’t know you, I can tell you that whatever has happened to you – you did not deserve that either. It was/is not God’s desire for us. He wants to rescue us from all that and He has gone to the greatest of lengths to make that happen.
We [should] know that we can’t go back and change things. Nor can we keep living a life of blaming others or living with regrets. All that does is keep us bound up and in constant torment.
Instead, what we can do is to get to know God, learn to live the life He had planned for us.
And support those whom He places in our path that are reaching the places we can’t go.
And if you feel led… help support me and the mission of this website. It costs money to keep this website going, and I hope you will also learn Rescued Love, Inc. ministers to homeless individuals, veterans, and women who are coming out of abusive backgrounds. We run a mentoring program to help them find their way back to their dreams and get back on the path in life. Once they get on their feet and into their new homes, we help find furniture and items to set up their home. We don’t just stop – we stop when God stops. And I’m here to tell you — He’s not done yet.
SO JOIN ME TODAY AND HELP ME REACH THE WORLD.
